Representatives of the US capitalist class used to be famous for stomping all over the world, putting their feet up on other’s desks and, cigar in mouth, handing orders down to their counterparts in other countries.

At home, they believed that there was no labor problem that could not be handled by court orders at the least and police batons and hot lead whenever necessary. As far as the economy, they believed that there was no need for state intervention whatsoever. Then they received an education.  Read more »

Almost every person on TV that promotes global warming, stands to profit from it. From the scientists who "fix" data, to the company that will get the taxpayer money, to the politician that is heavily invested in said companies.

This is just another transfer of wealth from the middle classes to the oligarchs - just like the bank bailouts were.

Global Warming” is, and always was, a policy for genocidal reduction of the world’s population. The preposterous claim that human-produced carbon dioxide will broil the Earth, melt the ice caps, and destroy human life, came out of a 1975 conference in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, organized by the influential anthropologist Margaret Mead, president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), in 1974.

It is ironic that President Barack Obama would travel to China and speak against government control over the internet. If the American Department of Homeland Security has its way new cybersecurity laws will enable Obama’s administration to take control of the internet in the event of a national crisis.

How that national crisis might be defined would be up to the White House but there have been some precedents that suggest that the response would hardly be respectful of the Bill of Rights.  Read more »

It's interesting to note the obvious connection between the fact that Mike Wallace is Jewish and he's pushing the "Evil Iranian leader" agenda only to serve Israeli interests by destroying Iran.

Apologize to the World Mr. Wallace and Return that Emmy! You have not earned it and you don't even deserve to call yourself a journalist!

Just weeks after the arrest of alleged Jewish terrorist, Yaakov Teitel, a West Bank rabbi on Monday released a book giving Jews permission to kill Gentiles who threaten Israel.

Rabbi Yitzhak Shapiro, who heads the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva in the Yitzhar settlement, wrote in his book "The King's Torah" that even babies and children can be killed if they pose a threat to the nation.

Shapiro based the majority of his teachings on passages quoted from the Bible, to which he adds his opinions and beliefs.  Read more »

According to a new study compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics, 237 members of the U.S. Congress, or 44 percent, are millionaires.

"What's easy to see is that the economic reality of our elected officials is not reflective of the general population," said Dave Levinthal, who helped compile the study's findings.  Read more »

CNET News has obtained a summary of a proposal from Senators Jay Rockefeller (D-W.V.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) that would create an Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor, part of the Executive Office of the President.

That office would receive the power to disconnect, if it believes they're at risk of a cyberattack, "critical" computer networks from the Internet.  Read more »

Billionaire Facebook investor, Peter Thiel, has donated one million dollars to NumbersUSA. NumbersUSA, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center is one of six core groups in the movement for anti-immigration. Thiel had no comment as to making the donation when asked by citizen journalists, but did not deny making the donation, either. In November 2008, an “underling” in Clarium Capitol (a hedge fund founded by Thiel) told citizen journalists that the donation to NumbersUSA had been made. The money out of Clarium was deemed a donation trust so that it would not seem to be coming directly from Thiel.  Read more »
